Athletics' Mason Miller: Racks up 11th save
Miller recorded his 11th save of the season in Saturday's 11-7 win over the Yankees, giving up one run on one hit over 1.2 innings while striking out four.
The right-hander took the mound with one out in the eighth inning to protect a 7-6 lead, but after the A's tacked on four insurance runs in the bottom of the frame, Miller may have let his focus slip a bit in the ninth as he gave up a leadoff triple to Trent Grisham. It was still an impressive performance after he blew his last save chance May 3, and through 15.1 innings this season, Miller carries a 4.70 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 30:6 K:BB.

Athletics' Mason Miller: Implodes in first blown save
Miller (0-1) was charged with the loss and a blown save Saturday against the Marlins after surrendering five runs on two hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning. He struck out two.
The right-hander entered for the bottom of the ninth to protect a 6-4 advantage and struck out two of the first three batters he faced, but a double, two walks and a walk-off grand slam by Kyle Stowers gave Miami the win. It's the first blown save of the season for Miller, who entered the day with just two runs allowed through 12 appearances. He's now 10-for-11 in save chances, with the rough performance ballooning his ERA to 4.97. A 0.95 WHIP and 25:4 K:BB are better indicators of his standing as arguably the best closer in baseball.

It was the first homer, and the first runs, Miller had allowed in 2025, but he remains a perfect 8-for-8 in converting save chances with a 2.00 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and dominant 18:1 K:BB over nine innings.
